Vortec Exhibits Compressed Air Cooling Solutions at IMTS 2024

The ITW company returned to IMTS in Chicago to exhibit compressed air cooling products to support the manufacturing industry.

Chicago, IL  (September 2024) –  Vortec, a leader in compressed air cooling solutions for manufacturers exhibited at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) in Chicago, IL from September 9-14, 2024. At IMTS, almost 90,000 attendees came together from a wide variety of industries to discover the latest innovations and technologies that are evolving traditional manufacturing practices.
“Vortec has solutions for manufacturers across a variety of industries,” states Heather Heupel, Vortec Marketing Manager. “The week was full of exciting conversations with attendees about how Vortec products can be customized to help unique applications throughout the manufacturing process.”

The products that were highlighted in the booth were:

  • Vortec Cooling Vests: personal cooling devices that utilize compressed air to keep employees safe and comfortable in extreme temperature environments.
  • Enclosure Coolers: Simple to install devices that attach to electrical enclosures and produce cold air from a compressed air hookup. This keeps electrical enclosures and control panels cool and protected and helps avoid downtime due to overheating.
  • Vortec Cold Air Guns: Cold Air Guns also utilize compressed air and vortex tube technology to supply a cold stream of air that can be directed at tools to extend tool life by 50%.
  • Blow Off Solutions: Vortec also offers a wide variety of blow off solutions from air nozzles to air knives to supply efficient blow off for most applications.
About Vortec: In 1961, Vortec became the first company to develop technology for converting the vortex tube phenomenon into practical, effective industrial cooling solutions. Since then, Vortec has continued to refine and expand vortex tube applications, as well as develop air amplification products for more efficient use of compressed air in cleaning and conveying applications. In 1990, Vortec was purchased by Illinois Tool Works, a Fortune 200 company; and is now part of the ITW Air Management business unit, which, in addition to Vortec products, offers the Paxton Product line of products for drying and blow off.
