Workers in extreme temperatures wear Vortec Cooling Tubes to minimize heat stress and fatigue. The Vortec Cooling Tubes improve comfort and productivity by using a belt with an attached cooling tube that generates cold air to provide air flow to the worker.
Vortec Cooling Tubes are available in two cooling capacities; 1500 BTUH and 2500 BTUH. Both models can achieve temperature differentials of +/- 45 – 60 deg F from the inlet compressed air temperature using vortex tube technology. These models are adjustable by the worker using an integral temperature adjustment knob on the hot air muffler end of the Cooling Tube.
*All Cooling Tubes have 1/4” compressed air quick connect and 3/4” garden hose thread for discharge of air to vest
*Note: NIOSH approves only complete Supplied Air Respirators (SAR) Systems. None of the Vortec Cooling Tube products listed above are approved for use with a respirator system. More can be found about the requirements in CRF 84.131.
Workers in extreme temperatures wear Personal Air Conditioning Vests to minimize heat stress, cold stress and fatigue, and to improve comfort and productivity. Cold (or Warm) Air circulates through a Diffuse Air Vest to distribute cooling (or heating) to the wearer's torso and neck. The air supplied to the vest achieves a temperature differential of 45 - 60 F° from the inlet compressed air temperature.
